Kludge Engine is a widget engine developed by MindHyve. The idea is to have the ability to run Mac's Dashboard widgets inside Windows. The widgets can be downloaded from the Kludge Engine website, and they are very easy to install. The download package also includes many widgets that are useful, even if you have Window's Desktop Enhancements.
Once you run the engine, a small tray icon will appear. You can use it to edit, add, and remove widgets from the desktop. Once you select a widget to show on the desktop, you can edit its properties and customize it as much as the widget allows you to.
It is very pleasant to have the freedom to easily move the widgets anywhere you wished to. They run very smoothly and make your Windows desktop look amazing. Perhaps the main issue of the program is to add widgets and remove them from the tray icon when you already have many of them. However, it is hard to figure out in what way a user can manage more than 6 or 7 widgets on his desktop at the same time. This is a truly excellent piece of software that will enhance the capabilities of your desktop and will allow it to look way better.
